She worked at the National Basketball Association (NBA) for twelve years assisting in the expansion of multimillion-dollar marketing partnerships for the NBA, WNBA and NBA G-League among local and global companies. LaShawn is a small business owner and educator, having successfully operated a Brooklyn-based transportation company, and provides marketing consultancy services to the small business community. LaShawn ascertained her B.S. in Business Management from Stony Brook University and her MBA in Marketing Management from Pace University. She is active in her Brooklyn community, being a NYC Community Board member. Serving as a Community Board member provides LaShawn an invaluable opportunity to contribute directly to the enhancement of her neighborhood, foster a sense of unity, and address the diverse needs of residents.
